ORGANIC PINOT NOIR/CHARDONNAY BRUT ROSÉ SPARKLING Vegan, Tupungato, Mendoza, Argentina
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer DOMAINE BOUSQUET
Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. Bright pale salmon pink colour. Spicy, faintly honeyed, fresh, ripe, plummy, ripe apple nose. Ever so slightly off-dry, medium to medium-light bodied, harmonious, slightly spicy, bright, plummy-cherry-apple purée flavours with a fairly crisp, gently effervescent finish. This ready-to-drink, very pleasant, fruity, crowd-pleaser is a blend of 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay and has 12.5% alcohol and 8 g/L residual sugar with lot number 17128-1720 on the back label. Made in the Charmat method which was orginally invented and patented in 1895 by Federico Martinotti, a winemaker in Asti. Today it is the most widely-used way to capture fermentation’s carbonation.
