Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
Cooley Distillery |
Light golden amber colour. Slightly sweet, coconut tinged, vanilla wafer and caramel nose. Quite peppery, dry, spicy, caramel tinged, dried plum and prune flavours. Not as tasty as the recent June 11th release of the identically-priced Inshowen Irish Whiskey (656017), which is still available. |

Kilbeggan (‘little church’, in Gaelic) Whiskey, first appeared in the mid-18th century. After almost two centuries of popular enjoyment, the Locke company hit on hard times and the stills fell silent in the 1950s. In 1994, Cooley Distillery acquired rights to the Locke name and relaunched the Kilbeggan brand. |
