| TASTING NOTE: Smart looking but unusual as the bottle is dark and simply labelled as Extra Brut but, surprisingly, in the glass, we get a light rosé of salmon colour and pale intensity. A Pinot Noir-based blend (70% with 30% Chardonnay) and 18 months of lees ageing. Aromas are youthful, vibrant, refined with notes of cranberries, pomegranate and citrus fruits. On the palate it's rich, creamy and generous albeit underpinned [by] assertive acidity rendering the wine refreshing and invigorating. Lovely precision and purity of fruit. Drinking window: 2020-2022. Score - 92 (Dirceu Vianna Junior, MW, decanter.com, Nov. 14, 2020) |
