| This Gruner Veltliner, Austria’s signature white grape, is extremely well made and very friendly at the price. Bright medium straw colour, the attractive, faintly honeyed, floral, gently spicy, ripe lemon-apple-melon purée nose has those tell-tale schisty, minerally notes. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, harmonious, ripe, fresh, apple-melon-lemon flavours with a tangy, slightly spicy, lingering, mineral-tinged, oak-free, rather tangy finish. Ready-to-drink and best with seafood (especially oysters) and poultry. It has 13% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number L-N6293/22-L1/22 on the back label. Screwcap closure. |
