RESERVE BOURBON 8 Years Old, Kentucky |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
Corner Creek |
Light amber colour. Pepper, minty, cedary, vanilla stick nose. Very dry, peppery, tart, lemony, plywood tinged, bitter caramel flavours. My tasting note here is quite different than for the previous release of apparently the same product ($54.85 on October 5, 2002): Ambering medium gold colour. Intense, rather peppery, corn syrup nose with charry notes. Somewhat hot and peppery, albeit smooth for 44% alcohol. Dry, crisp, tangy, sweetish, caramel flavours. |

Tasting note: Dark, olive-hued, chestnut color. Sweet oak, sorghum, and spice nose. Brisk and light on the attack with round medium-bodied palate and charred coconut and oak flavors prominent. Finishes with dry caramel wood spice flavors. Score – 90. (The Beverage Testing Institutue, March 8, 2002) |
