| Caroni has been a going concern in Trinidad in one form or another since 1627. Fassbind individually select the barrels that are aged in Caroni Distillery’s cellars before bottling. Fassbind is a Swiss firm that is developing an excellent reputation for hunting down tiny quantities of distinctive rums from producers who are too small to bottle the product themselves. In this case, Fassbind is acting like the independent bottlers you frequently see associated with single malt Scotch. |
