TASTING NOTE: This malbec comes from vineyards planted beside the impressive Zuccardi winery in Altamira in 2009, and in 2014, it was the first wine to be made there. The 2020 vintage - unoaked and 100% whole-cluster vinified in concrete containers - comes from a warm season, and you can sense a bit of that here, but what dominates is the sensation of verticality and tension in a red that has a layer of ripe red fruit and succulence, although always with nerve. It never loses that tannic strength, that grip that lends energy and brilliance. [This will drink into the early 2030s.] Score - 95 (Patricio Tapia, Descorchados, 2022) Price $ 41.00
Bottle Size 750 mL
