In 2020 after 30 years the LCBO suspended all preview Vintages tastings for accredited wine writers. Last year previews were reinstated for store consultants BUT wine writers were no longed allowed to attend. The LCBO's reply to a request for reinstatement said that we should get samples from producers and wine agents. It states that that our unpaid-for independent reviews no longer “best serve our (LCBO) customers.”

| TASTING NOTE: Purple fruit with black licorice, white pepper and cloves. Full-bodied with layers of chewy and polished tannins and a great finish. Sage undertones to the minerals. Chalky and structured. Great finish. Needs three or four years of bottle age. Give it time to soften.
