Acquavite di Mele Cotogne is made with quince. Although quince looks like a pear, this high acid fruit, most often used in cooking and making jams, is actually part of the rose family. Tasting note: A true intense dry quince aroma and flavour with a lovely spiciness wrapped all around it. Enjoy it out of snifter after a fine meal. (Vintages panel, June 2003) |
