Tasting note: Clear, but like ouzo or other anise based spirits, turns milky with the addition of water. Blackball candy with hints of salty black Dutch licorice and caraway seed. A touch of sweet hard candy at first, then fiery, moving to a slightly bitter finish. A little bit different. Score – 89. (Patricia Noonan, Wine Access, “First In Line E-Report”, Oct. 2003) |
