PUQUILLAY CARMENERE 2022 Valle de Colchagua
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer ENCIERRA
ENCIERRA belongs to the Eyzaguirre Echenique family, longtime vine growers in the Colchagua Valley. Fairly deep purple red colour. Intense, bright, ripe, blueberry-raspberry nose with some gentle cedar-tinged, slightly earthy notes. Dry, medium-plus bodied, ripe, nicely textured, juicy, crancherry-cassis flavours with a lingering, harmonious, gently savoury, lifted finish. This new Vintages release is quite ready to enjoy and would pair perfectly with a juicy lamb burger. 100% Carmenere from the Puquillay region, it was aged for 6 months in mostly third-use French oak with 14.5 % alcohol, 2 g/L residual sugar and lot number L23297 on the back label.
