| Unlike AC Calvados, Calvados with the “Pays d’Auge” requires cider apples produced in the Pays d’Auge area and a double distillation. This produces a finer Calvados, because of the quality of apples produced by the local soil, and the elimination of the roughest parts of the alcohol during the distillations. The Château du Breuil makes AC Pays d’Auge Calvados only. |
