| Although most wine drinkers in Ontario know Verdicchio through the General List's Fazi-Battaglia (+24422), there are a number of other quality-minded producers who are looking to elevate its status. The Verdicchio grape has been grown in Le Marche since the 14th century. The majority of the wines are produced by large co-operatives, such as Fazi-Battaglia, or négociants. Tenuta di Tavignano is among a number of emerging independent producers. |
