This is one of the oldest aged Canadian whiskies currently on the market. Tasting note: Old gold coloured whisky reveals floral, spicy rye, lemon-vanilla cake and corn syrup notes. Really smooth and elegant, with the oak age giving it more pull to take the sweet edge off the grain. When I see the prices for cognac and single malts, and then a price like this for an aged spirit, I’m glad we have other options to explore. Score – 90.
