INISHOWEN IRISH WHISKEY |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
Cooley Distillery |
This is the first and apparently only peated blended Irish Whiskey has a medium gold colour. Very faintly smoky, slightly peppery, candied lemon rind nose with orange citrus notes. Gently peppery, quite dry, harmonious, slightly smoky, medium bodied, wheaty flavours with hints of bitter chocolate on the lingering lemon-tinged finish. |

Cooley Distillery, the only privately-owned Irish Whiskey company in Ireland, continues to expand their line in our market with this award-winning lightly- peated, blended whiskey. Tasting note: Genuinely lovely stuff for those with a favourable disposition towards heavier whiskies, something not normally associated with Irish. (Jim Murray, www.cooleywhiskey.com) |
