A Best Buy
TASTING NOTE: From the Dão region, this dry wine is made using some of the grapes normally associated with Port, namely Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz, plus Alfrocheiro Preto. It has a lovely nose of spicy berry-fruit and light leather, followed by aromas and flavours of black currant, ripe cherry, black licorice, vanilla and woodspice. There’s good length to this medium-full-bodied red. A perfect companion for rich beef or lamb dishes. (Vintages panel, April 2010) Price $ 16.95
