CHÂTEAU DE LA RIVIÈRE 2004 AC Fronsac |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |

Extremely intense deep purple colour. Complex, slightly earthy, lead pencil, lime and ripe plum nose. Solid, dry, fairly extracty, medium-full bodied, ripe plum, prune and bitter chocolate flavours with a lingering finish. One of the largest Bordeaux properties, this 2004 is a blend of 82% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc and 1% Malbec. The recommended and perhaps slightly superior 2003 was released August 18, 2007 at the same price. Another good match for roast beef or a rare steak. |
