CHÂTEAU DE LA RIVIÈRE 2004 AC Fronsac
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer
Extremely intense deep purple colour. Complex, slightly earthy, lead pencil, lime and ripe plum nose. Solid, dry, fairly extracty, medium-full bodied, ripe plum, prune and bitter chocolate flavours with a lingering finish. One of the largest Bordeaux properties, this 2004 is a blend of 82% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc and 1% Malbec. The recommended and perhaps slightly superior 2003 was released August 18, 2007 at the same price. Another good match for roast beef or a rare steak. CSPC 663948
